Supporting Evidence

Aha! Roy and I were right.

THE sullen teenager who lurks in his room surfing the internet for hours on end is not being antisocial and withdrawn. He is actually building his social skills and civic awareness, according to research.

So, seems interesting they're actually studying this stuff now. Awesome.

I've decided that perhaps I'll wait to get BFME2. I'm thinking of finding a version of HL2 at some store somewhere, however it's whereabouts are currently unknown.
Then, with the rest of my cache of cash, I'll pre-order Guild Wars: Factions on Feb 28th instead.

Speaking of, GW: Factions looks awesome. I was watching a preview video released by NCSoft recently, and it looks action packed. New maps, new monsters, many many new skills and two new professions.
It has been the topic of much discussion amongst my peer group. We've all established we're going to start an Assassin, and maybe a Ritualist later in the game.
I think it's probably because none of us bothered to test the Ritualist on PvP Preview Weekend earlier this year, but we know certain strengths/limitations of the Assassin.

Aww man... I gotta get up early on Saturday morning to play Tennis. I find that there is something socially immoral about getting up early on a Saturday morning to play Tennis for your school.
Like 5 days out of the 7 aren't enough, they have to rope you in for half of your weekend also. Damnit.

Winter Olympics finished recently, and I must say that I rather enjoyed these ones.
A lot of people don't know this, but I love Snowboarding. Yes, bold formatting is my new forte, to get the emphasis across. Emphasis on love, because Snowboarding is possibly my greatest passion, even greater than fish n chips, or programming.
So naturally, I sat glued to the screen when the Half Pipe and Boarder cross was on. I was lucky enough to represent my school in Snowboarding two years ago and come third in the state, which was cool.
Wow was Torah Bright awesome. Doing it for the Aussies, I was proud to see she got the highest air. Disappointing she missed out on a medal though, because she stuffed up her first run trying big spins. <3 Torah.
Actually as we speak I'm browsing IGN, and they have a bit about a new Snowboarding docvd (my adaptation on Documentary DVD). Definitely gonna get that.

Browsing IGN and OH MY GOD! Top Gun game coming out for the Nintendo DS. Could it be as bad as Tom Cruise's acting, and as short-lived as he is short? By the looks of it, yes.
Doesn't look like it does any better than most run-of-the-mill Flight Sims. This might've done better if the movie had come out last year instead of what... ten years ago?

Also on IGN today, Quake Wars screens:

It looks brilliant. That's one I'll have to look into obtaining.

That just about wraps up current affairs, time to read that review on the Snowboarding Doc.
